Morning Prayer
And God, which knoweth the hearts, bare them witness, giving them the Holy Ghost, even as he did unto us;
Inspiration
As believers, we are all given the Holy Spirit. He may manifest differently for others, but He is the same Spirit. We must resist the temptation to create silos around ourselves because of our denominations, our upbringing, or even our politics. God invites people to faith in Christ from varied walks of life and faith traditions, but He unites us by the same Spirit.
Prayer
Lord, thank You for giving the gift of the Holy Spirit not only to me but to all who receive You in faith. Lord, I pray that You would prosper the good work that You do through all of Your believers, even if we are culturally or denominationally different. Use each of us where You have placed us so that we may reach the people that You call us to reach. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Night Prayer
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
Inspiration
We humble ourselves before the Lord when faced with the almighty power He possesses. Death is final to us, yet it has no command over the Maker of the heavens and earth. God has authority over all His creation; we feel small, yet mighty and honored, to be loved by Him. We are grateful that the One who holds the world in the palm of His hand also carries our spirits close to His heart and feels we are worthy to experience eternal life.
Prayer
Dear God, we humble ourselves before You. Thank You for considering us worthy of Your love. We devote our spirits to You and are proud to be Your children. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
