Night Prayer 

And when he humbled himself, the wrath of the Lord turned from him, that he would not destroy him altogether: and also in Judah things went well.

Inspiration 

Sometimes we are inclined to ignore God and go our own way. And sometimes, we create an unnecessary mess for ourselves and others. And when this happens, we’re reminded that God was right all along. In this moment of realization, when we humble ourselves, God hears us and leads us back to Him. We may still have a mess to clean up, but God helps us with that, too.

Prayer 

Lord, I confess that I have strayed from You. I’ve followed my own desires and dreams, and I’ve hurt myself and others. Lord, I don’t want to make this mistake again. Please lead me in Your infinite wisdom, for You are loving and faithful. Please help me to repair what I’ve broken as You guide me back to Your path. In Jesus’ name, amen.
