Morning Prayer
Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or day: I also and my maidens will fast likewise; and so will I go in unto the king, which is not according to the law: and if I perish, I perish.
Inspiration
Esther was content with the idea she may have to sacrifice her life for her people if it was God's will. She loved God and was ready to take action at His command. We are guilty of surrendering part of our life to God, not all of it. We are greedy with our time, finances, and prayers. We overlook those around us who need salvation. We will take a closer look at the sacrifices we make and continue to ask the Lord what we can do to serve Him today.
Prayer
Dear God, Please hear our simple prayer as we yearn to devote all of our time, finances, and prayers to You. What can we do for You today? In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Night Prayer
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
Inspiration
We humble ourselves before the Lord when faced with the almighty power He possesses. Death is final to us, yet it has no command over the Maker of the heavens and earth. God has authority over all His creation; we feel small, yet mighty and honored, to be loved by Him. We are grateful that the One who holds the world in the palm of His hand also carries our spirits close to His heart and feels we are worthy to experience eternal life.
Prayer
Dear God, we humble ourselves before You. Thank You for considering us worthy of Your love. We devote our spirits to You and are proud to be Your children. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
