Night Prayer 

And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again, and your heart shall rejoice, and your joy no man taketh from you.

Inspiration 

Grief is an emotion we inevitably face at some point in this earthly life. We don’t want to be separate from the ones we love. Jesus understands the sorrow our human hearts experience at the thought of separation. He explains to His followers that the grief they feel in His absence is to be followed by a joy that will never cease. Christ gives us hope with the knowledge that we will see Him again one day, and eternal happiness will replace all the sorrows we experience on earth.

Prayer 

Dear God, we have hope in Christ’s words. We know that You will replace our sorrow with eternal joy and happiness, and we look forward to being reunited with You one sweet day. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
