Night Prayer 

When Saul and all Israel heard those words of the Philistine, they were dismayed, and greatly afraid.

Inspiration 

Fear is not just an emotion; it is a complete physical experience for our bodies. Our hearts beat faster, and our nervous system jumps into high gear, preparing us to fight or run as far away as possible. God expects us to become afraid of physical and spiritual danger; He created our bodies to react accordingly. We are scared of sinful lifestyles and temptations laid out before us. When frightened, we will turn to the Word for comfort and guidance.

Prayer 

Dearest Lord, we are afraid of sin, as we should be. We ask for Your guidance; we want to stay far from sin and temptations that lead us astray. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
