Night Prayer 

If ye abide in me, and my words abide in you, ye shall ask what ye will, and it shall be done unto you.

Inspiration 

Did Jesus really promise to give us whatever we ask for? Not quite. This is not a promise to meet our every whimsy. Rather, Jesus is inviting us to let His presence and His word change our hearts. When we do, His desires will become our desires, and our thinking will conform more to His ways. And we will no longer be asking for our own wishes to be granted, but for His will to be done in us.

Prayer 

Gracious God, thank You for inviting me into Your presence. Draw me near so that I may experience more of You. Use the power of Your word to transform my heart and mind, making me more like You. Help me to seek Your will, and grant me all that I need to carry out the purpose You have for me. In Jesus’ name, amen.
