Night Prayer
Keep thy heart with all diligence; for out of it are the issues of life.
Inspiration
Guard your heart. These words of wisdom remind us that every faulty thought and every selfish action start out as a heart problem. Every aspect of life springs from the desires and the condition of our hearts. When our hearts are impure, they will pump impurities to all parts of us, but when they are made clean, God’s goodness flows through us into all that we do.
Prayer
Thank You, Lord, for rescuing me from my sin. Even as I come to You, I struggle with my old sin nature and the desires that seek to pull me away from You. Purify my heart, Lord, and renew me from within. Shield my heart by Your righteousness so that I may walk in step with Your will and purpose. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Night Prayer
Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him.
Inspiration
We humble ourselves before the Lord when faced with the almighty power He possesses. Death is final to us, yet it has no command over the Maker of the heavens and earth. God has authority over all His creation; we feel small, yet mighty and honored, to be loved by Him. We are grateful that the One who holds the world in the palm of His hand also carries our spirits close to His heart and feels we are worthy to experience eternal life.
Prayer
Dear God, we humble ourselves before You. Thank You for considering us worthy of Your love. We devote our spirits to You and are proud to be Your children. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
