Night Prayer
And the vessel that he made of clay was marred in the hand of the potter: so he made it again another vessel, as seemed good to the potter to make it.
Inspiration
God made us in His image, and He rescues us in our brokenness. But He does not leave us exactly the way we found us. Instead, He works on us, with care and purpose, to reshape us into the vessels that He wants us to be. When we allow Him to work on us, He produces strength, beauty, and function in our lives.
Prayer
Father God, You are the Potter and I am the clay. Please mold me into the shape that You desire, so that I may be used for the purpose that You intend for me. Strengthen me where I am weak, and fill me with Your Spirit so that everyone can see Your craftsmanship, Your care, and Your purpose in my life. In Jesus’ name, amen.

People Don’t Like To Have Their Faults Pointed Out
Frances Taylor
Jeremiah was trying to do God's work. He was charged with encouraging the people to return to God, to stop worshiping idols, to turn away from evil or they would be destroyed. So they decided to kill Jeremiah. God warned him about their plan. So appropriate that this comes as we are nearing the time when the chief priests and the Pharisees were plotting against Jesus. None of us likes to have someone point out our faults. Most of the time we don't act out of anger, but there are times when people have actually lost their jobs or their lives for being "whistle-blowers." Jeremiah did not stop prophesizing; he continued to work at bringing the people back to God. Have you ever been in a situation where you knew there was wrong-doing, and you had to make a choice whether or not to tell those responsible about it? Knowing that there can be repercussions for acting, would we have the courage to act? It is not easy to ...
Morning Prayer
Now unto God and our Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
Inspiration
God will have His full due from us. His glory he will not give to another. Not unto us, O Lord, not unto us, but to Thy name give glory! (Psalm 115:1) Your grace on us you bestow, but your glory you will not share. Great overflowing blessings you pour down on us, but the credit for it all you jealously guard. For that is right and fitting, that you should have indeed your full due.
Prayer
Our hearts desire is to exalt you, Father, and not ourselves. Nor will we exalt any idol that would wish to take away even the least particle of your glory. For ever and ever and ever, in the realms of eternal glory, we will sing praises to your glorious name. Let us begin that song now, even today. Amen.

There is only one Messiah, Jesus
Frances Taylor
Jesus was walking around Jerusalem openly. The people knew that the Pharisees and the chief priests wanted to kill Jesus, but they couldn't understand why they were letting him walk around still teaching. Might the rulers have changed their minds and come to believe that Jesus was the Christ? I'm sure it was a confusing time for those who had heard and seen Jesus. Do you ever wonder if you would have been a believer? I do. You know, we have centuries of fathers in faith before us. Christianity has been handed down from one generation to another since the time of the apostles. But if you're anything like me, there have been times when you have had doubts. In fact, if you have never had doubts, then how do you know you have faith? As children, we learn about Jesus from our parents or grandparents, or others close to us, and because we trust them, we believe. As we grow older, we learn more about Jesus from many sources. Perhaps we ...
