Morning Prayer
I am the vine, ye are the branches: He that abideth in me, and I in him, the same bringeth forth much fruit: for without me ye can do nothing. Herein is my Father glorified, that ye bear much fruit; so shall ye be my disciples.
Inspiration
Throughout nature in God's glorious work we can see interdependence between species. It is this basic tenet of symbiosis that John describes as emanating from Christ, serving to highlight that both parties, us, His willing disciples and God himself, require one another.
Prayer
God almighty, thank you for your word and truth, and for giving me the nurturing and support I need. Give me today my daily bread, as I promise to praise and serve thee in all I do, in all I accomplish. For your glory I wish to labor, so that your light might never be extinguished. Everlasting flame, remain with me now and evermore, Amen.
