Night Prayer
Have mercy upon me, O Lord, for I am in trouble: mine eye is consumed with grief, yea, my soul and my belly.
Inspiration
God's heart breaks with us when we experience struggles in this life. He becomes disappointed and saddened when we get ourselves into trouble. We often find ourselves struggling, resulting from our inappropriate actions and choices. We feel regret, remorse, and helplessness. We ask God for guidance during these times because He is the only one who loves us and has the power to help us overcome our struggles. He is our refuge and looks upon us with mercy and grace. His love never fails.
Prayer
Dear Lord, we have faith in Your unfailing love. Thank You for showing kindness and mercy when we struggle due to misguided choices. In Jesus' Name, Amen.
Night Prayer
So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also.
Inspiration
Our pastors are eager to share the Word with us. God commissions them to teach us about salvation and how to apply scripture to our lives. We must meet their eagerness with encouragement and prayer. Spiritual leaders suffer from the frustration of failure and rejection, just as we do. We will continue to keep them close in prayer and use words of encouragement as they complete the works of the Lord.
Prayer
Dear Lord, we are grateful for our pastors and will continue to keep them in our prayers. Please open our eyes so we may see opportunities to encourage them as they minister in Your name. In Jesus' Name, Amen.

We are so like the Israelites. Just when we get what we want, we decide that we want more. The Israelites have been saved from slavery and then God brought them through the sea, and now they're complaining again. God again provided what they need, but they do have to follow some rules. They were only to gather what they needed for the day and on the sixth day they collected enough for the Sabbath. What they gathered was measured so that each had what they needed and no one had more. They were instructed not to save some for the next day and, of course, there were those who didn't follow instructions and what they saved became foul. On the sixth day, they could prepare enough for the next day so that the Sabbath could be a holy day dedicated to Yahweh. Fifty years ago, there was little work done on the Sabbath, now it seems like just another day.
